I was trying to make a weavy surface ; using split tree in order to make arches . By saing that, with dividing a curve, eather in even numbers or odd numbers I’ll need to exclude last number or (n-1) number, which in dynamo you can easily get them by using codeblock!.
what’s the right syntax to get last number parametrically in grasshopper?
Use the tree statistics component to get a list of tree branch paths and cull index the list by number -1 (which is for indexing the last item) and use it for the tree branch component.
my point is get myself more invovled with data trees and writing syntaxes . Cuz I’m right now getting confused a bit using Dynamo logic and trying it in Grasshopper. that’s why I used this logic!. Thank you for your help as always by the way!..
Yet that’s the thread solution you chose. I normally don’t care about such things but an image without code leaves many questions. And it’s not the simplest method for shortening a list.
There are many ways to create this wavy surface, of course - as always. This one ignores how three points are chosen, which affects location and orientation, amplitude and wavelength.
what do u mean an image without code? by saying syntax I just meant to work with operator syntaxes like we do for path mapper ,relative items and so on. Maybe there is a misunderstaning here between us!
you know nothing about ,how people struggled in many sanctions should survive and find a way to communicate with rest of the world! cuz u re livin in a free society !. R we gonna talk about data trees or politic datas? cuz i have no interest about it! tnx.
