Something Wrong With Document Properties - V7

I hope I’m not the only one who sees it. Every time I open Document properties, regardless of whether I change any settings or cancel and close, next thing rhino does is rebuilding shading meshes. Why…? It happens here every time.

I haven’t noticed it earlier working on light stuff but now I’m dealing with heavy solids and shading wireframe model takes couple of minutes on my dated machine. Really hope this is a bug and not new added feature…

Hello- that seems wrong - can you please run SystemInfo in Rhino and copy/paste the results?

-Pascal

Sorry should have remembered to include System info with my first post

Hello - the first thing to check is whether disabling Maxwell and SimLab in Options > Plug-ins page and then closing and restarting Rhino, makes any difference - make sure only one Rhino is running when you do this.

-Pascal

Hi Pascal, I followed your suggestions and disabled both plug-ins. No difference. See video below. Interestingly mesh regenerates itself only after opening Mesh panel. Any other settings does not affect it. Although after disabling both plug-ins mesh did regenerated itself too.

And speaking about meshes. The image below shows one big solid. The client wants to 3D print it. Rhino 7 on my dated machine takes 36 minutes to shade it…!! Same with Rhino 6. Rhino 5 does it in 30 seconds. Editing this geometry in V7 or 6 is impossible.
