Hello- there is no provision for that , if I understand you, other than in ‘Technical’ based display modes which have hidden lines

Ah - no, as far as I know ‘osnap highlighting’ only uses object color.

Hello- can you describe what problem this would solve? I can only think it would become more difficult to identify the snapped geometry.

Is that correct? The difference is between polysurfaces and extrusions.
If you convert the box into a polysurface (ConvertExtrusion - or Explode/Join) you will get the desired behavior, if I have understood correctly.
