ShapeDiver: transparent materials throw shadow as opaque

100 % Transparent materials in shapeDiver throw shadows as it were opaque? do I need to tweak something for the shadows be responsive to materials trasparency?
thanks

This is a known issue which will be fixed in the upcoming viewer version that will be released this quarter. In the meantime, I suggest adding a little logic in Grasshopper to completely hide the geometry when fully transparent instead of relying on the material property.

Thanks Mathieu, good to know.

Since, any chance to get shadows from png with alpha channel ?

This is the result with legacy shapediver display. And shapediver glTF display don’t generate any shadow in blend mode.

I’ve found a workaround? Converting image to surface with Rooster ^^
Still hope alpha channel shadows to be available soon in ShapeDiver.

We could reproduce the issue with the alpha map shadow in the version 3 of the viewer and we are looking into it.
