Hi everyone,
I was just wondering if anyone else’s shadow option in rendered mode or in view capture setting not working since latest update? Despite having the options on in display mode… Anyone?
Thanks!
Hi Tania -
I haven’t seen other reports of that, no.
-wim
Thanks, Wim. Can you possibly help pinpoint what might be the problem? I have the “shadows on” in display mode options, and also the GPU box ticked in the OpenGL settings… It just stopped working.
Any ideas?
Thanks again.
Hi Tania -
Please start by running the Rhino SystemInfo
command and copy-paste the result here.
-wim
Thank you!! Here goes:

Thanks, Tania -
You’re running a 2019 iMAC with an AMD on the latest - and very recent - version of macOS. Generally, that would be the best. Lately, though, Apple hasn’t necessarily cared much for OpenGL support in macOS, so that could be in play here.
Have you tried unticking that to see if that makes a difference? Also lowering the antialiasing to none to see if that helps?
If that doesn’t do anything, please post a simple 3dm file that we can check on our machines.
-wim
Wim, lowering the antialiasing to none, worked. Arghhh thank you!!
