Set object display mode not working

Hi,

I have created several display modes, some have been created as edited copies from native display modes (for instance copied arctic to create an arctic xray style), some others i have created from scratch.I use no spaces beetween words in my display modes names.

The problem i have is with the “setobjectdisplaymode” command. When i use it on an object it does not necesseraly change it’s display. For instance, when i m running my display on arctic, and as rhino to display an object as wireframe, or xray, or ghosted, it does not work.

Anyone has this problem too ?

Thank you all !

Hi Raouf -
Please run the Rhino SystemInfo command and copy-paste the result here.
Also, are you seeing this issue with native display modes that were not modified?

Hello - the first thing to do is update Rhino (help menu > Check for updates) then make sure vray is also updated to the latest. If that does not sort it out, please block VRay, Enscape and elefront in Options > Plug-ins page and then close and re-open Rhino.

I dont think that is the issue.
Sometimes setting objects display modes work.
For instance, running my display on arctic mode and setting and object display mode on a custom mode i created works.

Maybe there’s a way display modes work i’m not aware of. I’m talking about display mode priorities. For instance, if i use a display mode that does not allow mesh wires to show, then set the display of an object on a display mode that shows mesh wireframes will it work ?

I have similar problem, it always display the modes I set to. However I find it works the best when I set the display mode to Pen (or its vairations), then set other objects individually for its own display mode. Hope this helps abit
