Set a Family builtin parameter in category panel: Enable Cutting in Views

Hi Everyone!
I can’t find a way to address the Family parameters of the family category panel. I need to set the flag “Enable cutting in views” for the family parameters on a sequence of automated families.
Any hint?

Its a built-in parameter on the Family Doc.

Perhaps creating a family template with the values set would work for you?

Yes, since I’m calling a template to make the families. The families I’m dealing with are all based on “metric furniture”.

Nice, it works and it’s pretty straightforward.

  • Create family using furniture template
  • Set the parameter
  • Save family (.RFA)
  • Change Extension from .RFA to .RFT
  • Call the template from RIR
