Selecting Objects from Layer should not Add to Current Selection

I find these kind of inconsistencies all over the place. But it is not only about incoherence.

In practical terms, it would be more flexible to have both options:

  1. to create a new selection.
  2. add to current selection.

In summary:

Make it default that “Select Objects” only selects the objects in layer, resetting any current selection.

If user want to add to current selection by “Select Object” it should be done by holding Shift while clicking “Select Objects”
