Selecting Objects Behind in Shaded Mode

I have been having issues the past month or so with consistently selecting objects in the background or closely behind my target selection when in shaded mode. It behaves similar to ghosted or wireframe mode now, where I am unable to select surfaces or polysurfaces unless I select directly on an edge or isocurve. I’ve been using rhino for 5 years now on the same computer, made no major changes to my typical workflows, but have only recently found this to be a problem. Was this part of some update or change (using Rhino 7 for Mac currently)? and if so is there a way I can adjust my settings back to how I was used to working? Thanks

hello @fretimply can you run _SystemInfo in Rhino and post back the results?

Hello- is this file specific? For instance, are the scene extents larger than you cusytomarily deal with?
