How do I show the center of an arc when I select it? See right viewport
Thanks!
I think there is a command can’t remember it now.
You can use the command Centermark I don’t know why it puts curves there but it works.
One quick work around is to turn on center Osnap and snap a point to the center point of the arc. You’ll need to kind of hover your mouse around where you think the center point was.

Thanks. I was hoping it would show without extra steps. I’ve used 2D CAD programs that show the center, and it can be helpful, especially checking for tangency.
I just found CenterMark, which does it. Yet another command.
Why not have Rhino automatically show the center of an arc when one selects it, and in Options→Rhino→Modeling Aids→Object Snaps, have a checkbox to “Show arc/circle centerpoints”, or 2 checkboxes, one for arc, one for center ?
Or is there already something available that I haven’t found ?
Yes I think that too, don’t know why rhino doesn’t display the centerpoint when f10 is pressed.
A better command than mark center point is MarkFoci it puts a point there and works for ellipses and parabolas as well.

Because it’s not a control point of the curve?
Sounds better! Thanks
Who cares it should still display the center point because it’s part of the curve construction points. It would be more beneficial than to be pedantic about it. And if that would break scripts etc. then McNeel should add an option under show control points in options mouse to show center point construction on arcs, etc when selected or using F10.

Does AutoCAD do it?? I have to look back 25 years.. I know LibreCAD does.
Well, time to carry on and leave it..
One could create a macro. Problem solved ![]()
