Does anyone else have issues when scrolling in perspective view with V8?? I’ve attached a short screen grab of me using my space navigator to zoom in and out and then using my mouse scroll wheel. Its really jerky and slow. The mouse works fine in other applications and it worked fine in my previous version of rhino.
Two weeks ago I happened to create a recording of me using my SpacePilot Pro with Rhino 8
Can’t say I saw such stutters as you. Pauses in navigations of my recording are primarily me stopping, thinking where to go next.
edit: nvm, I just realized you mean that the mouse scroll wheel is jumpy…
edit2: check if you haven’t set Scale Factor to some smaller number (Tools > Options… > Views | Scale Factor). Perhaps it is set to some value like 0.8 or 0.7. Set it to 0.9 or closer to 1.0.
Thanks for the reply. I checked the scale factor and it is set to 0.9… I can make it slightly smoother by changing it to 0.95 but its still very jerky. Scale factor of 1 doesn’t zoom in or out.
Hi John - does it matter what display mode your viewport is in? Same in wireframe, for instance? Can you please run SystemInfo in Rhino and post the results?
