Save Named View Not Working

I have Rhino 7 SR26 (7.26.23009.7001) Educational License. I run into an issue whenever I try to save a named view, Rhino freezes and nothing appears in the command bar. If I click ESC, everything is fine and Rhino will become normal. But I’m unable to save any named view.

Is there anything I can do to fix this problem?

Thank you.

Hello- please run the SystemInfo command in Rhino and copy/paste the results here.

@pascal

Hello- please try this, maybe we can pin this on a plug-in. - in Options > PlugIns page, disable Vray, Enscape and D5Converter.
Close and re-open Rhino.
Does the problem go away? If so, re-enable those plug-ins one at a time until you see the problem again…

-Pascal

Hello - Thank you so much. It works. I followed your instruction, then closed and re-opened Rhino. After that, I checked back those PlugIns then closed and re-opened Rhino again. Everything works fine now. I appreciate your help

Hi @pascal ,

I ran into the same issue again, then I went through the same steps as you mentioned previously. However, it doesn’t solve the issue anymore.

Do you have any idea?

Thanks

Hello - just making sure: you disabled Vray, Enscape and D5Converter, then closed Rhino and re-opened it, correct?

-Pascal

Hi - yes, I disabled all the “not ship with rhino” plugins. Then closed and re-opened. It still gives an error.

What is the error? A screen capture might be helpful.

– Dale

Rhino just freezes. No pop-up error messages or anything.

Hi @Winter,

If you create a new document, can you save named views? If so, then we’ll want to look at the model in which this does not work.

– Dale

Hi Dale, I created a new document, and still I can’t save the named view or snapshot.

Hi @Winter,

Run the -NamedView command, from the command line, and then click Save. Does this work?

Also, you might try turning off thumbnail mode in the Named Views pane. Just right-click in the panel and pick View Mode > List.

Hi Dale, thank you. I tried your method by Running the -NameView command. It works with that method.
