Hello,
I am new to Rhino 8 and can not figure out how to align an oval perpendicular to the grid in the viewport (top view). The oval right now is OFF, slightly tilted to the left, consequently it is also off in the other views and I am not sure how to align it back to its perpendicular position.

Hi Oliver - most likely there is a knot at the maximum curvature point - you can snap to that (Knot Osnaps) with Rotate.
If that edge is not a true ellipse curve - fpr example an offset from an ellipse, then you can mark the max curvature location ahead of time with the Curvature command.
