Rhino8 pdf line width too thin

Hello,

Rhino V8 is printing thinner lines than V6. I use RhinoPDF to create the pdf files. The lines appear the same on the layout details in both versions. The lines are surface edges.

This is the inverse of a problem that I encountered earlier in V6. A fix was applied to V6 at the time.

I have tried various settings in the RhinoPDF print dialog, but the lies remain too feint.

In the V6 print dialog, I have the default line width set to 0.00, even though that is not a listed option. The value can be typed in V6, and 0.00 switches to By Layer. In V8, the value cannot be typed. I have tried various settings in V8, but cannot find a setting which provides the required output. Could it be that the 0.00 / By Layer setting in V6 is helping to get the desired output?

Hi Garry,

Please ensure you are on the latest Rhino 8.

Note that there are some new controls for line weights…

Pixel Width

Detail Print Widths by Layer

Display Mode Scaling

@Japhy The Layout Print Widths and Detail Print Widths were OK. I have set Scale By to 0.75 and Default Line Width to Hairline and that provides a satisfactory result. I suspect that the cause of the difference is the removal of the 0.00 option from the Default Line Width, which could be typed in V6.
