Rhino Zoo Cloud

Hello,

I was looking for some information about moving from ZooLAN to Zoo Cloud from those that have done this in a lab environment.

At present we have concurrent licences managed via a ZooLAN server. This allows us to install the Rhino software on all of our lab PCs whilst not exceeding our licence count.

Is this still possible if we moved to a Zoo Cloud or would each student who is going to use the software need to be assigned an individual licence?

Many thanks,
Luke

You would need to create a team in the Cloud Zoo and invite all the students to join the team. However, that makes it a little more difficult for getting the licenses to the lab computers who do not have a single user.

I recently went through this with a local school who have a lab with computers (Mac/PC) plus they wanted students to be able to work on their own laptops either in classrooms or at home. Having them share the same lab license looked difficult, so we ended up having one lab license in the LAN Zoo for the computer lab and a second lab license in the Cloud Zoo for the individual students on their laptops. I don’t know if there is a more elegant way to solve this with only one single lab license.
