Cloud and local ZOO hybrid

Hi,
We’re working in an educational lab environment. We have combination of workstations and laptops.
I’m looking for a solution that will allow me to license Rhino on the students workstations without requiring these users signing in or having any access to Rhino account. This I understand can be achieved with local server Zoo.
However, I’m also looking for the laptop users to be able to use Rhino license outside the organization using cloud zoo.
I know in other program (solidworks for example), you can have a local server for licensing and can borrow a license for a month from the server to use outside the organization.
Alternatively, can we implement a number of licenes with cloud and the rest with local zoo?

Thanks,
Elor.

You can do this with the LAN Zoo as well. The time limit is 30 days max with edu licenses. To check out a license, the laptop will need to be connected to the network (VPN works fine).

Thanks for your reply,
can I convert to LAN Zoo from cloud easily? is it as simple as removing license from cloud and installing it in LAN Zoo?

Yep, as far as I know, that’s all you need to do…
