Hi Sam,

Please run the SystemInfo command in the Rhino command line and post the results.

Thanks

Hi, everytime I try to run systeminfo the file freezes again

Is this Rhino 8 and you are on a compatible MacOS?

Did load any 3rd party plugins? twinmotions for example?

There’s no third party plugins at the moment

It was only able to load the first few lines for the system info

Lets first troubleshoot by removing the 3rd party plugin.

Everything else about the environment looks OK.

i have attempted to remove the enscape plugin but the file is still freezing straight after opening it

This is a particular file? Can you upload here? If its too large you can upload privately here, just put a link to the forum post in the comments.

Ok, I have uploaded the file privately

I was able to open up the file on my windows machine, haven’t tried on the mac yet.

Its a very large file for the information being conveyed.. 3.2 gb.

Only one BadObject (use SelBadObject command)

I’m going to purge materials and blocks and look at the geometry to try and lighten it up a bit.

Ok thanks for the update

Did the file manage to be opened on the mac?

The majority of file size is in these objects. I’ve split these out to separate files and will send shortly, you can insert as a linked block as needed.

great thank you

SelDup command found 42182 duplicate objects.

There are also 100000 plants that can be pruned. These are really slowing down the viewport. Replacing with a lower resolution object is recommended.

Rhino can handle of these imported objects up to a point, then you need to be judicious on what you are bringing into your file.

The overall goals of the project are important in this regard.

You should receive a link to the files shortly.

thanks for the solution
