I’m on a job where we’re exporting a lot of assets into a Maya and we’re trying to find a neat workflow. Has anyone had experience doing this and wouldn’t mind answering a few questions?
We’re finding mesh FBX seems to be the best translation, but we’re looking for a way to get Rhino blocks to translate into Maya Instances. Also looking for the best way to mesh complex objects. At the moment we’re using ReduceMesh, then Quadrangulate mesh. It’s not a perfect method but it helps to reduce the polycount on objects.
