Rhino Render Blurry reflections


Is there a way to get blurry reflections in the default rhino render?


The only way to do it in V5 is with bump.

If you would be fine with blurring a texture map only and not the raytraced reflections from adjacent objects, you can blur an emap texture in a material or the environment HDR. You can also use the Brazil eval and Neon to do it right with glossy reflections in a Brazil material.

It was more the reflections of adjacent object that was the issue. Using a bump texture worked. I used a bitmap is there a procedural material that would work better for a sand blasted effect?

Yes, try the Noise texture (installed in Rhino 5). There are different types within this procedural and lots of options.
