Rhino not responding

He,

I Installed Rhinoceros 6 Evaluation to try and see if it works on my laptop. Only Rhino doesn’t work, the viewports stay black, and when I try a command, it has periods of not responding. So, I started Rhino in a safe mode to get the system information(see below). Hopefully, someone can help.

Hoi Rob,

This part indicates that Windows is not finding your GPU, i.e. that it is not installed correctly.
In Rhino, when you open the Notifications panel, there should be warnings about your 2 GPUs with links that you can follow. Please find updated drivers for both cards and install those. Let us know how that goes.

I manually updated my Intel® HD Graphics 4000 and rhino seems to work, I have problems updating my AMD Radeon HD 7600M series.
Could not update the AMD graphics card result in problems further down the line?

It looks like there isn’t any 7600M in their list, no.

At any rate, Rhino uses the card that is set to “Primary display and OpenGL”, which, in the SystemInfo that you sent earlier is the Intel card. Also, that card has 2GB of VRAM, which is the double of the Radeon. So you should be good there.

Note, however, that the recommended minimum VRAM is 4GB and if you use a high-resolution screen or multiple screens, that should be even more. I wouldn’t necessarily expect fantastic performance with the hardware that you are running.

Thank you for the reply and the anwser. I will try to see if i can update my hardware.
