Rhino.Inside will not load in Revit

I am trying to load Rhino.Inside but am consistently receiving this error "Rhino cannot run the external application “Rhino.Inside”. Contact the provider for assistance. Information they provided to Revit about their identity: Rhino.Inside®.Revit.

I have tried reinstalling and restarting but nothing has seemed to work.

Hi Will,

This is typically a conflict with other 3rd party Revit addins (the first one to load wins, if the other plugin loads an older shared resource… conflict)

If you are in Revit 2025.3 or greater it ships with an Addin manager, in previous versions you can troubleshoot with the tool linked here…

Hi,
Thank you for your response! I do not have any other Addins other than Bluebeam, even disabling that does not seem to help

Please verify you are running the latest Rhino 8, Revit and Rhino.Inside.Revit

Yes I believe they are all up to date

Can you open Rhino 8 and run the systemInfo command? Are you running in a typical environment? (virtual machine)

Yeah here is the text from the Systeminfo command:

Not related but this is an older card, hopefully they have a driver update.

This one could be a problem. Please either temporarily uninstall the plugin or go to Rhino>Properties>Plugins and disable (rhino restart req’d). Also ensure any Vray grasshopper plugins are removed.

Thank you for your quick response, I uninstalled V-Ray but the issue is still happening

Can i get a screenshot of your GH ?

Please verify you are on 2025.3 or above … Revit 2025 releases

Here is my grasshopper, I have Revit 2025.4

Another thing to note - Rhino.Inside seems to work fine in Revit 2021 & 2023 but doesn’t run in 2024 or 2025

Not sure where the break in all these would be as all versions of Revit are updated to their newest versions
