I am new to Rhino Inside Revit.
How can I use the Revit system tools in Grasshopper? For example, I want to create a cable tray along a curve. I can bring the curve from Revit into Grasshopper, but I don’t know how to create the cable tray along the curve in Grasshopper. I also don’t know how to insert other system elements like pipe accessories or air terminals.
I know Grasshopper quite well, but I’m missing the Grasshopper components (exporting elements from GH to Revit) for system elements, like the ones we have for walls (e.g., “Add Wall (Curve)”).
Hi Calina,
We currently don’t have any native components for placing MEP curve types. What components/workflows do you think are most important?
There are a couple plumbing scripts here that can get you started for a scripted component, if that is an option for you.
Hi Japhy,
Thank you for your response. For our company, drawing pipes, cable trays, and mechanical equipment is particularly relevant. However, I have to mention that we are still in the experimental phase with Revit and therefore cannot yet provide specific details about the context in which Grasshopper elements and Revit might be of interest to us.
