Rhino.Inside Revit - cannot manipulate objects/direct shapes

Hi there,

I am starting out with Rhino.Inside and have incountered the issue that whatever objects I create in Revit(2022) via Grasshopper (RH7 ord RH8) with Rhino.Inside they are just a preview of the geometry. I can’t select the geometries in Revit.

I have the latest Updates on all mentioned Software.

I dont really know what I am doing wrong…
Would appreciate any help

Cheers,
Miru

ok, interesting info to add to this:

The Revit Project I have open is a saved detatched copy of a former central model that I have used to create a central model for this new project.

If I open a new Revit Project - from scratch - the selection of the referenced Geometries via Rhino.Inside works…

still… any idea why it doesent work with the initial Revit Model?

Perhaps you have pinned element selection turned off in that file?

Just checked - the seletion is turned on.

Another thing that can happen is the phase the elements are going into the project on. If the view has those off you would only be seeing the preview.

ok - but how does this cause an issue with selection?
in the New Model there is no issue regardless of the phase of creation…

Just opened several different Projects and there is no issue whatsoever.
I think there might be something in this particular Revit Project that is causing the issue…

interesting nevertheless

That was a guess based on what you were saying about only seeing the preview. There are a number of ways visibility and selection can be affected. Hard to say without a small example.

here is the file
Example.rvt (4.4 MB)

Maybe you can figure it out
