Rhino inside Revit bug, crash when switching from Grasshopper to Revit

If I switch from the Grasshopper window to Revit in my script, Revit crashes with the following message, if I activate “lock sovler” then it sometimes works but often Revit still crashes. I use Revit 2022 and Rhino Inside Revit 1.23.8919.31374

The message doesn’t make sense because I don’t have a time-limited license and the error only appears with one script.

I can send it directly to McNeel so you can take a look at it to find out where the error is coming from, but I would need an email address.

This might be related to another UI bug we are already tracking. Any additional info is always appreciated. Thanks

If possible please upload the script and light Revit file here with a link to this thread in the description.

I’ve had this issue quite a lot too (at the moment in Revit 2024). Its hard to pinpoint when the issue occurs. With simple operations it doesn’t seem to be a problem, but it crops up occasionally when dealing with more complex forms.

I think there is some sort of conflict with a plugin I have installed for a CDE/Reviewing software (I dont want to name it here). The problem reappeared for me after reinstalling it a little while ago.

I have uploaded the zip file (Revit 2022 file and Grasshopper script) via the link, with a reference to my forum comment including a link to it.

Hi! The plug in BEAM helps transfer and integrate complex designs from Rhino into Revit, allowing for seamless collaboration between 3D modeling and BIM workflows. This can replace but also be used with Rhino inside Revit.

Hi @bjornsmolarek,

This is fixed on 1.24 right now and will be included on 1.23 when released next Tuesday.
