Rhino fails opening file

All of a sudden Rhino doesn’t open the files I just saved.
Rhino itself doesn’t crash but the window just closes without error message. Sometimes I’m left with an empty “Classes” window.

When I reinstall Rhino it works once, then I get the same result.

If I delete
~/Library/Preferences/com.mcneel.rhinoceros.7.plist and ~/Library/HTTPStorages/com.mcneel.rhinoceros.7/ it works once. But after i close Rhino or the document, it won’t open again until i delete the library files again…

It doesn’t matter what files. I created an empty one with just one simple box. Still the same result.

I can create new files. But I can’t open existing ones.

I’m on macOS Monterey 12.4 (21F79)

Hi Felix -

Do you remember if you installed anything or did anything on your machine between the time when this worked fine and all of a sudden started failing?
Have you tried to disable the “LayerClasses” plug-in and restarting Rhino?

no idea what might have changed :person_shrugging:

seems, disabling the LayerClasses plugin did the trick though!
