Rhino Crashing while Loading

Good afternoon, I am trying to use Rhino 7, however, when I try opening up Rhino by clicking on the app, it tries loading up but then all of a sudden it disappears, and when I click on it the process will repeat itself. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling Rhino, but it would not work. I check to see for any issues with Windows or Microsoft, everything is updated and fine. Then I followed the diagnosing Rhino startup error formula, I was not able to retrieve any RhinoDebugMessages.txt as the file would keep on crashing when loading up. Any help?

Hi Bogdan - does Rhino start in Safe Mode?

Windows start menu:

-Pascal

Hi Pascal, there is a Rhino in Educational safe mode that works with my old files, however, Rhino 7 which is standard doesn’t work.

Hi Bogdan - please run Rhino in safe mode and run the SystemInfo command, in Rhino, and post the results here.

-Pascal

I’ve noticed the fact that Rhino will freeze when it is loading the plugin RhinoCycles and then crash.

Instead of reinstalling, can you try to repair Rhino from the app manager and see if that resolves your issue?

I’ve tried doing that, didn’t resolve the problem.

Looking again at your SystemInfo, your main graphics card shows 0MB. See if you can do a clean install of the display drivers. Other than that, do you have other plugins installed?

The other plugins that I am aware of are Vray, Commands, and another Chaos product that is related to Vray. It seems that the driver adapter had stopped functioning as I had found it in the display manager

Does this mean your issue is solved?

Yes, as it is something outside of Rhino function.
