Rhino crash while using import 3DM in grasshopper

I recently updated Rhino 8. Before the update, the Import 3DM component in Grasshopper was working fine, but now, whenever I try to import a file using that component, Rhino closes automatically. Could you please suggest how to fix this issue?

Is there a way to manage DWG-file geometry through layers in real time?

I’m experiencing the same issue in Grasshopper — I can’t import .dwg or .dxf files using either the “Import 3DM” or “Import Content” components. However, the same files import just fine in Rhino.

I’m running version 8.24.25281.15001 (2025-10-08), and it says it’s the latest available.

Are there any updates that are not available to me yet, or is there a workaround to get this working in Grasshopper?

Hi Erik,

This was resolved in 8.25, if you aren’t prompted for an update please go to your Document Properties and change your frequency.
