Why is import content not working on some .3dm files?

How do I interpret this error message on ‘import content’? I am importing a .3dm file of 70mb, but a very similar file with a similar size has no issues. Can someone please guide me why this error occurs and how to solve it?

I can’t post the files here since they are confidential. I would like to know if there’s some steps I can try on my end before needing to send to someone from McNeel.

Have you tried to disable / enable the component?
