Planar surfaces only, Offsetsrt solid yes fails unlike in microstation:

Works with round corners in Rhino 9.
i need sharp, is the result different from rhino8?
I can’t try in Rhino 8 right now.
For sharp corners, likely the small zones near the bottom exit are problematic

If you cap the two openings (holes) to make a solid, and then do the offset, it works.
