Hi @mary,
I’ve run into an issue in Rhino 9 WIP where Snapshots don’t reliably save layer states (visibility, etc.), which makes them unusable for presentation workflows.
For us, having a dependable way to store and switch between layer configurations is essential—especially for presentations.
Ideally, it would be great if Named Views could also store:
-
Layer states (visibility, locked state, etc.)
-
Visibility of objects
-
Display mode
That would make them a much more complete presentation tool.
In the meantime, does anyone have a workaround or alternative workflow for managing presentation states in Rhino?
Also, could this be considered for development? It would be a huge improvement for presentation use cases.
Thanks!
