Rhino 8 Wish - keep the layer name visible when editing Layer properties

I understand this is probably not for everyone, so it could be an option.
It would be great to keep the layer name column visible when you slide laterally to edit the increasing number of properties. I know that if you hover over the line it hints the name, but it takes a bit and if you selecting several layers, you see it one by one and it just is a bit slow.
Also I know that you can select on the column and them slide over to the property.

But pinning the layer name column, would also help to check properties against the name. So if I want to know what are the layers have printing width of .35 I can look at the two columns at the same time, and have better checks.

Any ideas?
Thanks, N

Hi @nsgma,

I’ve heard this request before. Not sure it’s logged so I created an issue so we can capture this.

Of course, you click click (in a column header) and drag it to the position that is most convenient.

You can also turn off columns that you are not using. Just right-click in any column header or click the “Column” button on the toolbar.

Perhaps not an option, but you can dock the Layers panel on the bottom (or top) in V8.
