Rhino 8 UI strange/bogus tooltips & appearance

Hi, is there a way to:

  1. Suppress mouse hover tooltips (is this the correct term?) that repeat the word I’m already hovering over and mask the stuff below and to the right?
  2. Reduce those tooltips’ size. Too much pixel padding.

  1. If they exist, make those tooltips load faster. Rhino.Options.TabPanels.ToolTipDelayInMiliSeconds doesn’t seem to make a performance difference for me. It looks like the first time the mouse hovers over a “panel’s” buttons there’s a delay, then rolling over those buttons becomes fast until you move the mouse away and back.

Possible to get some attention on this?

Thanks.

Here’s another example. Why is this tooltip so enormous? Top, left, bottom padding are already too big by apparent default, then right of the word “Column” I think we can all agree needs shrinking.

Hello- I don’t know how much control we have over tooltip size - if any. Here are some other Windows apps

Ok. So the tooltip size is a Windows thing? I wonder where I could find a setting to shrink those, because R8 looks way different than R7.

What about #2 above, the superfluous R8 tooltips that appear to repeat the word that I’m already reading?

Gijs recently made a number of tooltip related bugs (including this one about size). We will be trying to address these very soon.

Sounds good. (Small and adjustable would be very welcome…)

Here’s another R8 tooltip size-related example for the record or McNeel’s use.

Floater tabs should show the tooltip indicating the tab name. Currently (Rhino 8, 8.5.24051.15001) they don’t:
