Rhino 8, new toolbar how?

I wanted to make a tutorial for coworkers, but I don’t even know how to make a new toolbar in Rhino 8.

In Rhino 7, you wrote “toolbar” in the command line, or went to the settings for toolbars, right-click in the list and chose new and you were done.

In Rhino 8, when I click “add” it asks for for a command (no idea why) and then comes the new toolbar settings but once I click ok, I don’t see the new toolbar

The help file is utterly useless, and if I instead create a “new” toolbar file from the drop down menu, all I get it this:

What am I missing here? Why the increased steps?

Menu → Edit → New Toolbar

Thanks.

I’m not used to creating something new from an edit menu…

(Also, holy crap two more steps with add and then selecting the checkbox… all of this is done automatically in V7 so what a step back!)

I was just tediously manually re-creating my V7 macOS tool palette in V8 macOS, now called “toolbar” for some unknown reason (it’s still a floating palette with tabs), and after I had all tools, while re-arranging their order, Rhino crashed - and I have to start all over again :face_with_symbols_on_mouth:

and i am using ver. 8.21.25188.17001 and there is not path “Menu>Edit?New Toolbar”. anyone up to date on the how to create a custom toolbar.
