Rhino 8 laggy

Hi, I was wondering if anyone can help with my Rhino file. It’s so laggy and everything is delayed whenever I do anything. I had lots of meshes in the file, but I deleted most of them all, yet it’s still laggy. It is only this file having this problem, and I’ve had bigger Rhino files that worked fine.

Could please you share this 3dm file with us? Thank you.

Sorry, but how do I share the file? It says the file is too big to be uploaded.

Please tell me if this link does not work. RhinoFile-TQ

Yes, it works fine. Thank you.
Could you try to turn off the Clipping Plane or making it affect only one viewport?

I did it and it’s still laggy. I’m trying to work on my plans but selecting and working on cleaning the lines up still runs slow. I’ve also checked my other rhino files that have this project when it was in its drafting process and the storage file is lower than this one, which I’m confused on. I’ve used the purge command and it’s still doesn’t work.

Yes, I’m also encountering the same issue here. The delay issule only resolves after I hide or delete all curves. I will carefully examine the curves in your file, as there are currently a very large number of them in this 3dm file (around 300,000 curves ).

Yea, I just realized the problem were the curves. This is going to be very tedious…thank you for helping me!

I found out on selecting a curve it takes a while to display it yellow.
But it takes the same time to show it unselected.
Makes me think the bottleneck is not finding the object.

Also I see a significant display performance drop when many curves are selected:

The reason for Rhino 8 running slowly is that there are 330,000 curves present in the scene. I tried moving the floor plans and sections of each level their conrresponding layout spaces, and then peformed routine operations in both model space and layout space. It was observed that Rhino 8 runs at a relatively normal speed. I hope this temporary solution hleps you.

@jessesn
Do you know why the display of selected objects takes so long?
I think this is the only thing that makes it feel slow.

This is because there are too many curves present in the scene simultaneously. If you use SelSmall to hide of some of the curves, you will find that the laggy issue also improves.
