Rhino 8 is incredibly unreliable! It crashes so frequently, it feels like it happens more often than I draw breath!
I’m unable to utilize it any longer; it crashes nearly every time after loading a Grasshopper and when I use any command it crashes instantly , and sometimes it crashes when I simply click the middle mouse button to access the pop-up menu!

Please try disabling all third-party plug-ins, restart Rhino and see if that works any better. Then one by one enable each plug-in, try Rhino for a while with Grasshopper and see which plug-in start crashing.

I’m impressed to see 4 rendering engine plugins are activated on a single rhino session.

I’ll give it a go, though my suspicion leans towards V-Ray

When Rhino crashes, do you get a crash reporter dialog? If so, please make sure you send in crashes. If you ensure your e-mail is filled out then I can find and track the crashes better, especially if it is the same as you use here on Discourse.

Lumion-D5 render, Datasmith exporter, and Keyshot - these are all livelink plugins, not actual render engines. I’ve been experimenting with them recently, but I’ve decided to stick with V-Ray for interiro and D5 for exterior and animation.

I’ve sent some in the past, but in the next one, I’ll include a link to this Topic.

In my opinion, I wouldn’t install any third-party plug-ins that aren’t absolutely necessary until I’m sure Rhino V8 works properly on my system.
I would uninstall and do a fresh install of V8 and use V7 for anything non-standard; when I see that everything is ok I would try one plugin at a time (this will take some time to test the system but it would be less painful than the constant crashes…).
This is my approach: OS and drivers update → Installation → testing → GUI customization → testing → third party plugins → testing
In another thread (where crashes were reported) Datasmith exporter was the problem, don’t know if it is the same for you.
