Thank you!

The Windows driver for this display device is fairly old. Can you update?

Not to butt in here, but I once read that 80 to 90% of Rhino issues / crashes were due to out-of-date video drivers. Still true, @dale ?

I doubt it is that high of a %, but it is a good place to start.

If updating the driver doesn’t work…
@Courtney3 is Rhino crashing when starting with an empty model and just drawing a box, or are you working with a specific file that seems to be crashing? If it is a specific file, would it be possible to share it so we can try to repeat this crash.

@dale @stevebaer says my drivers are up date and I just did a windows update and it is still crashing, I can share the file
front page.3dm (19.2 MB)

Hi Courtney,

I have your file open, what are the steps to reproduce?

I am not really sure a specific command that makes it crash. It crashes when drawing some lines, or scaling but its pretty inconsistent

Who says? Windows? Don’t listen to that, your NVidia 3070 driver is a year and a half old. Go directly to the NVidia site to download and install the latest.

Ok, one way to test this would be to open Rhino 8 in Safe mode (type Rhino in windows start dialog)

A clean install of NVidia drivers is recommended.

@Courtney3 is Rhino still crashing for you? If so, I’d like to schedule some time to try to remote debug on your computer.
