Rhino 8: How to switch command options overlay off?

Hi…,

I’ve got this customer question:

  1. Can the command line moved from the main toolbar to another/its own?
  2. The command options overlay the main toolbar icons in a runing command. How to prevent this?

Hi Michael - integration - or complete parity of the command line between Mac and Windows is still a ‘project’. On Mac, it does what you describe, unless the user sets Rhino 8 menu > Settings > General > ‘Use command options dialog’. (then reset the default window layout to refresh) In that case the command line is hidden until typing starts.
The user may want to open Main (toolbar) and dock it at the top and then save a window layout.

Do keep in mind that by doing this, the customer will loose the adaptability of the Main toolbar, [it won’t change with the active tab … unless it has been magically fixed recently]

Still small price to pay . the floating command prompt is great .
