Since two weeks for me and one week for a colleague rhino 8 is starting we can see the window to choose a drawing but Rhino is closing this window shut down.
I’ve reinstalled the version but the same phenomenon reoccured.

Safe mode runs without the video drivers and plugins.
The video driver isn’t old but would a good idea to check for an update and do a clean driver install (available in the installer in the custom mode)

Repair your microsoft redistributables.

Go to Control Panel > Programs > Programs and Features.

Thanks for reporting back. My guess is a windows update messed up the redistributes, that has been happening more often in the last few updates in a relatively small subset of users.
