Rhino 7 update release not working

We are using Rhino 6 and Rhino 7.

We have installed Rhino 7 (before we created the offline package) version 7.1.20343.09491 with the following command line
Then after the installation everything is working and it is getting the license from the ZOO automatically.

Now we want to upgrade to the new version release 7.2.21012.11001 and we used the same command line but then it is not getting the license automatically from the ZOO. Also the lic file which is located also for Rhino 7 inside folder “C:\ProgramData\McNeel\Rhinoceros\6.0\License Manager\Licenses” has been gone. When you start Rhino you will get the message “A first screen pop up with Rhino 7 Needs a license” So it isn’t going right away to the ZOO.

For Rhino 6 we could upgrade new releases for the ZOO and standalone installations with only the command line “Bootstrapper.exe -quiet -norestart COMPANY_NAME=UNStudio SEND_STATISTICS=0 ENABLE_AUTOMATIC_UPDATES=0 DISABLE_INTERNET_ACCESS=1” and this was working all times but not with Rhino 7. A first screen pop up with Rhino 7 Needs a license.

So my question how is this possible and what is the best method too upgrade new releases for Rhino 7?
It seems that it first totally uninstall the old version and then install the new version (and delete the lic file ) but it isn’t connecting right away to the ZOO.

Kind regards,

For your information.

I did it also with the normal package with the following command line,
rhino_en-us_7.2.21012.11001.exe -package -passive -norestart LICENSE_METHOD=ZOO ZOO_SERVER=name.unstudio.com COMPANY_NAME=UNStudio SEND_STATISTICS=0 ENABLE_AUTOMATIC_UPDATES=0
Then it is still the same it delete the lic file for Rhino 7 located “C:\ProgramData\McNeel\Rhinoceros\6.0\License Manager\Licenses” again and when you start Rhino the pop up screen with “Rhino 7 Needs a license” shows up again.

I have the same problem. Every time I upgrade Rhino 7 to an actual Service Release, I have to enter the license information again. And if there are multiple users on the same computer, all users have to do it on their first run of a freshly installed SR.
I am using normal installer and fill in the Zoo server there (see screenshot).

I have done some research about it.
It really depends on the lic file in “C:\ProgramData\McNeel\Rhinoceros\6.0\License Manager\Licenses”. If you use Zoo license server, you can copy the file from another PC and it works. At least for me

If you by chance have old server name in registry key \HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\McNeel\Rhinoceros\6.0\License Manager , it prompts you for new address of the Zoo server. If there is no server key at that place in registry, it uses the right Zoo server from registry key \HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\McNeel\Rhinoceros\6.0\License Manager .

But you need the lic file to have at the right place.
