Rhino 7 | Exchange Unrecognized Components

Dear Community,

is there a way to exchange unrecognized Grasshopper components to other/new Grasshopper components?

I am encountering an issue where my Grasshopper script created on a Windows OS is partly not functioning properly after being imported into macOS (despite using the same Rhino version on both systems).
Specifically, the “Area” component is displayed as unrecognized component on macOS. I would prefer not to manually replace multiple “Area” components in the Mac version of Grasshopper.

Is there a way?

Thanks in advance and best regards

Marc

Hi Marc -

Is the component drawn as a white outline on macOS, or is it labeled “old”?

Hi Marc -

Yes, sorry, that wasn’t meant to be a public comment.
It looks like we are trying to make a new build of Rhino 7 for macOS to add a few things that made it to the Windows version, but not the macOS version. If / when that gets through, I can probably post a a link to an internal version as I’m not sure if any new public releases will be made available.

As Wim said, the Area component code that was back ported from Rhino 8 never made it into the Rhino 7 code base for macOS. We are working on a fix for this but it will require a new service release to be built/released which will be published once everything has been thoroughly tested. Thank you for your patience and for bringing this to our attention.
