Rhino 6 - Taskbar Icon Error

When I initiate Rhino 6 from the taskbar icon, the new window does not combine with the existing taskbar icon. I cannot believe that after the numerous iterations this program has gone through that such a simple error would be overlooked. Can McNeel provide a solution/update for this error or provide a helpful fix for the problem?

Hello - presumably you have Windows set to combine the icons, correct?

As far as I know this works as expected.

Hi Pascal,

Yes. See the attached image.

Hello - can you please run the SystemInfo command in Rhino and post the results here?

Hello - just in case, please disable VRay in Options > Plug-ins and then restart Rhino. I don’t know why it would make a difference either, but we’ve seen some peculiar effects from plug-ins, so I’d like to at least see what happens.

Any different?

-Pascal

Hi Pascal,

The disabling of VRay does not change the taskbar icon performance. The icon continues to duplicate itself and not combine with the pinned icon. Thoughts?

Hi Pascal,

Please, disregard the previous comment. The disabling of VRay did fix the issue with the pinned taskbar icon. What does this mean?

Hi Emanuel - that means that this is something that VRay is somehow influencing. We have no control over that and you’ll want to contact VRay support on this matter.
