I have an ongoing crashing problem with my Rhino 6. Sometimes it crashed when I rotating around my camera, sometimes it crashed when I was moving. It crashed when I was in the wireframe or in the shaded mode. I am not sure why. I suspected it was caused by VisualARQ. So I turned off VisualARQ in my plugin manager (but it still show up in my toolbar). But it still did the same. Should I uninstall it completely? or I am looking at the wrong thing this whole time? Thank you for your help in advance.
P.S. I thought it was caused by my GPU driver, so I installed the latest GPU driver. But the problem persists.
Best,
Bo

Yes, I have. After I turned off VisualARQ, I also tried to turn off VRay. But the problem still persists. I also tried to uninstall and reinstall Rhino 6. Yet the problem remains.
Thank you for your quick reply,
Bo

I tried to uninstall my GUP driver, and Rhino 6. I also completely uninstall Vray and VisualARQ. But my rhino crashing problem remains. I also tried to run Rhino 6 repair option, it says it is fixing Microsoft .net framework 4.5, is this the reason why my rhino 6 and 7 keep crashing? but the repair tool didn’t really fix it. Both my rhino 6 and 7 still crash at random. Does anyone have any idea how can I fix my problem?
Hi Bo - we might be able to help with V7 - if the very latest GPU drivers did not solve the problem please follow these directions, (Rhino closed):
There are several steps to this process: navigate to the settings folder for the RhinoCycles plug-in, followed by putting the file skiplist.xml in place. Below is a list to walk through.
Use the File Explorer to navigate to the following location (copy and paste)
If skiplist.xml doesn’t exist in this location right-click to create a new file with the name and extension skiplist.xml
Open skiplist.xml and edit the contents to look like the following. For this particular example we are going to add some XML that makes Rhino skip OpenCL initialization when a Radeon RX 590 is found. Leave in the section for Intel HD 530, this device causes OpenCL trouble as well.
I am running into the same random issue in the past two days. I double-check with the xml file. The xml file text is still the same as last week after you suggested a new skiplist.xml file. Do you have another way to resolve the issue?
I really need some help here. My rhino has been crashing none stop. I can’t seem to find any solution. I even uninstall Autodesk Genuine. It has been happening on both of my Rh 6 & 7. I can’t even work for 10 minutes with it crashes on me.

To be honest I think it’s the desktop at fault. I had a laptop alienware since 5 years ago and never had problems with rhino crashing (unless its super2 heavy). I just built a high-end desktop, had a lot of problems with it (freezing and etc), fixed it, now it never freeze on me but rhino keeps crashing. I think something is just wrong/ malfunction/ not compatible in the desktop itself, that probably is not strong enough to run rhino.
Please run the Rhino SystemInfo command and copy-paste the result here.
Also, I don’t see any crash reports from you. Please always send in the crash report when that dialog appears after a crash.
