Rhino 6 Issues

I’ve had the following issues with Rhino V6:

Renaming Layers - if the cursor happens to get bumped outside the layers toolbar when trying to change the name, it just reverts to the existing name. Not the biggest issue but a little annoying at times. Also, I get a pop-up when changing a layer name that says something to the effect of a layer with that name already exists. However, it doesn’t. It may have some commonalities like mould back vs mould front, but definitely not the same.

Undo crashes - a few times I’ve backed out of a surfacing death spiral and within a fairly short number of undo clicks, it says nothing to undo when I know there’s much more. If I hit undo again, the program crashes.

Rhino fills up my trash folder with duplicate files. I end up with hundreds of files in my trash if I’m using V6 any amount.

I’ve never had any of these problems with V5 on this computer. I haven’t had any problems with any other programs on this computer, even video programs which are notorious for crashing haven’t been a problem. I’ve had a number of other issues as well but they aren’t coming to mind at the moment. Any thoughts?

Thanks.

Hello - I’d like to repeat it if possible. If there is a file and a set of operations that might show this, I’d love to try. If there is a crash report interface on crashing please-please-please send that in with as much detail about what you were doing as possible.

Meantime, can you run the SystemInfo command in Rhino and paste the results here?

The trash fills up, presumably, with older AutoSave files. You can shut this off in ‘Advanced’ options:

-Pascal

Hi Pascal,

Thanks for the fast reply. Thanks also for the info about the autosave files. I didn’t save a crash dump. I’ll send it the next time it happens. I’ve been snowed under and not thinking about solving the problem as much as I’m just desperate to get caught up. See below for system info.
