Hi
is this the final look of the icons
t looks blurry and fragile
And the lock is small

Thinks.
Hi @PowerShape, thanks for bringing this to our attention. Nothing regarding UI is set in stone yet.
The RH7 Icons having dark borders are considerably easier to see and to understand. In most cases the proposed light grey icon borders and features in RH8 do not have sufficient contrast with the background.

Hi @m_kasten A bit of background why this is happening might be good to mention. The dark mode UI in Rhino is a recent development and requires a lot of work. In Rhino 8 all icons are based on SVG (vector) files that are ārenderedā on the fly, whereas previously they were pixel based pre-rendered SVG files. Currently icons are automatically recolored when you switch to dark mode. The way these are rendered and recolored is in active development. Some icons work well when recolored, others can be the same in both modes and yet others will need to be redone on an individual basis. The amount of icons in Rhino is huge, so you can understand that this is not going to happen over night. But I can say to you that this is one of things that has my attention and priority for the v8 release.
Excellent summary, thank you. I said ābordersā but I meant āedgesā of the icons within the buttonsā¦
Iām glad to see a ādark modeā in Rhino. Hope this gets worked out.

How would we switch from Dark Mode to Light Mode?
(And Iām very happy to see this being worked on, thanks!)
EDIT: Ah, found this in the Help panel under āNew In Rhino 8 > New Commandsā
But I canāt quite make it workā¦
You can switch by going to Options:>Eto Appearance
And switch between light , dark and custom.
Thanks, missed that.
FYI for those who read this, itās one menu deeper: Options > Eto Appearance > Eto Colors
