Rendering Improvements in Rhino 6

Sir,
i am attaching this images bcoz i like the diamond effect in this.it looks quite realistic.

The effect you’re seeing is all about the reflection - the reason there is a lot of “sparkle” is because the background that’s being reflected has lots of very bright noisy highlights. Naturally, the cut of the diamonds also affects this - but not as much as you’d think.

You need to look for HDR images to use as a background which simulate the kind of studio environment this picture was taken in.

Rhino6 has this HDR images in the library or I have to download them?
But with rhino6-default settings I should atleast get an basic render image.

I just made a GemStudio.exr and added it to the drive… check it out when you get a chance.

Sir can you help me to know the settings you have used to render this ring.
please explain me the process.
waiting for your reply.

It’s all about the HDR or EXR texture used in the environment. You can Google “HDR environments” or use some that I’ve posted here www.food4rhino.com including the Gem Studio one I recently made which will be included in the v6 environment library. Add an HDR or EXR to a Rhino environment or add an existing renv file to the v6 WIP, adjust the background to black as discussed earlier here, assign your materials and use the Raytraced display mode. Run the ViewCaptureToFile command when you want to save the rendering.
