Rendered Display Issues While Modeling Rhino8 SR16

Hi there, running into a few issues I’ve never had with the latest release. When modeling in projected viewports - i.e. copying objects in top or front view, the axon/parallel viewport suddenly jumps into an extreme camera/projection. If I then rotate view in that viewport I get strange ghosting/artifacts. This happens when the viewport is rendered, but not in say ghosted. (I haven’t tested in other display modes). The viewport will reset if I minimize rhino. Right now its easy enough to just work in ghosted, but this was not happening until today and ideally I need to have that viewport in rendered display. Attached an image and here is my system info:

Hi. Have you attempted the latest drivers for that 3050 Ti?

Just installed newest studio driver and still have the issue.

Playing around more now and it may be complexity or something specific to this model - lots of “perforated” surfaces and blocks. I don’t get the same problem in more basic models. It didn’t seem like this particular file was too large or complex - only 15MB.

Hi PATHfab -

Do you have any idea of what might have changed on your system?

Can you make a copy of that file and delete some objects to see if there is one (or several) that are required to be in the scene for this behavior to happen?
Alternatively, can you post the 3dm file?

Hi Wim - so last windows update was on 2/11 so I don’t think that was it as I was using Rhino between then and now. Rhino may have updated recently. I have been able to isolate the issue. Nothing to do with any specific object or size/complexity. This happens specifically when copying (or potentially other operations - mirroring, etc.) blocks. Any viewport that is set to render display goes into strange behavior - weird projections, artifacting, etc. If I explode the block and copy the same objects, there is no problem.
I could post a file, but I was able to re-create the problem in any other rhino file I made by making an object a block then copying.
