In the attached file, you can see the red line at the SubD reflect x-axis. However it is going from very thin in the aft ship to quite wide in the foreship. What does this indicate?
AFAIK the topology of the SubD is correct.
Thank you for enlightening me.

I usually switch to box mode, go to point select then check along the reflect plane. There will be a pair of points that need to be merged.

Hi DK,
Thank you for your reply.
I checked my geometry and so far all seems fine.
But maybe I miss something?
Anyone else can take a look?
I didn’t look at your file. The symmetry display seems to be thicker when the definition is less dense.
@theoutside or @BrianJ surely know more about this…
Thank you Martin, for your feedback.
Your answer might be it. And if that’s the case, the blurred thick red line in the foreship is not useful to me.
I am curious about Kyle’s reply. @theoutside
I also think the edge should have constant thickness and the symmetry settings should have an option to choose the thickness
Thickness setting was requested 5 years ago already…
i think its a bug (feature) that got introduced recently, i cant remember having seen this ever before and it also shows up on geometry that is evenly dense either
I’ve logged this bug a while back.
Thank you Gijs,
It is good to know that it is a bug and in relation to the distance to the origin.
