Nice facelift in the last Rebuild, but curve input info is gone.
thanks nice catch-
RH-91886 elmo missing ui info
Thanks for reporting and @theoutside thanks for making the YT
I know about the Elmo commandline option giving you the option for start and end tangency separately, but it was left out intentionally.
Okay, in the name of simplicity, I assume.
If this functionality were to be dressed up in a drop-down menu, the overall UI complexity would probably be about the same.
I personally found it quite useful, for example when working my way down a curve network and fixing continuity in one direction as I go. I currently use Match Curve as a second step, but it could also be nice to have the option to include this directly in the same operation.
that’s correct, the new rebuild dialog already has a lot of options.
What I find cumbersome is that you never really know which end of the curve is the start and which the end. So having to switch the dropdown everytime to adjust to the correct side would be tedious.
Ideally you would address this directly in the model view.
Agree, but that would probably be a heavier lift to implement.
But to take that “model view” train of thought a bit further, let me throw a few more items in from my wish list: what if we could rebuild, adjust continuity, and tweak the control point positions directly in the model view at the same time? ![]()
Something like this:
