For some reason, the high quality meshing preview wont show in rendered view when activated.
If i go back to low quality it wont appear.

Hello

I dont think the problem is the gh file, because i’ve experience this on everyfile.

UPDATE:
Maybe not on every file, but what i’ve noticed is that with round shapes, like cones for example, the custom preview component won’t read the high quality mesh up until you update something.

When i’m visualizing boxes and then i change it to high, everything is fine
When i’m visualizing cones and then i change it to high quality, they just disappear. Is not up until i modify the radius, the geometry shows up.

try changing between low and high quality with boxes vs cones and see if you can catch something weird.

cones vs boxes.gh (11.8 KB)

I believe it has to do with the custom preview and how it is set up. Getting a file would help diagnosing instead of having to guess.

FWIW, I downloaded @jnavarro1 GH file and replicated the problem: when trying to preview cones, changing the GH meshing quality makes them disappear until something forces a recompute of the Custom Preview (changing something in the chain of components, reconnecting, or even just selecting the Custom Preview and hitting F5).

I logged RH-84151 Rendered mode loses preview meshes on quality change

Hello @nathanletwory, just for completeness since it is also related to the Custom Preview Component, check also this: The Custom Preview component has lost shadows in Rhino 8 - #27 by ale2x72

I hope that for that issue (GrasshopperPlayer + custom preview) @kike himself will log YT issues, seeing that he is already involved in the thread.
