Grasshopper preview mesh settings ignored

in the attached file I can´t change the preview mesh settings. No matter if I set the to low, high or custom settings, the preview meshing always remains the same (very coarse).

check to not have Disable Meshing active on GH:

disable meshing is unchecked and as i pointed out, i tried all the various settings (low, high, document and custom). looks like a bug to me, i am on rhino 8 sr2.

sorry, for some reason I filtered-out that info :slight_smile:

when I open your file I see it as wireframe, and 40 minutes ago was meshing correctly also in Low quality

now it isn’t anymore :astonished: this is what I see in my screen, I’m on V8 SR6 (8.6.24079.11001, 2024-03-19)

I’m starting to repeat something here as well.

If i open the gh file, gh save as, close gh, open the original gh again it comes up in wireframe.

something weird seems to go on here.
if i unpreview the custom preview component and preview the components plugged to it instead, the following happens:

  • disabling meshing does not show wireframe but gives the coarse mesh shown in my first screenshot
  • enabling any meshing (even low quality) shows a smooth mesh

also opened the file in V6. different result, but still not as expected …

FWIW Rhino 8.5 has already been released with a large amount of fixes.

no problems here on R8.5

still hesitating to update for UI-uncertainties (dont want to lose my UI, lots of work).
